Daily diary – December 26 2024

After having to cancel yesterday’s tour due to bad weather, it was finally calm enough for us to head out into the bay and celebrate Boxing Day! We reached the islands, and could see the blows further in so we continued over to their direction. We saw lots of harbour and grey seals throughout the tour as they kept popping up in every direction. We found 2 humpback whales feeding near each other as they kept lunging up near the surface. One came so close to the boat!! It was so cool to see. We then found the third humpback whale and watched it before the rain came in really heavy.
