Daily diary – December 27 2024

We had a bit of clear blue skies as we headed out into the bay! The waves had a bit of movement to the boat but nothing we couldn’t stand! We headed to the islands and came across 2 humpback whales! We stayed near one for most of the trip as it kept swimming up near the surface and feeding. It turned out to be a new humpback whale!! There were lots of grey and harbour seals swimming near the boat as well! Once it was time to head back, we headed out into a snowy blizzard and soon came across another 2 humpback whales! It was the pair reunited after spending a few days apart! The snow soon cleared up and the 2 whales swam right across the front of the boat!
