Daily diary – December 31 2024

This morning was so beautiful and sunny! Everyone is excited to celebrate the New Year! We set sail but the bay was very quiet. It took a long time searching before we found a humpback whale, but this individual was only surfacing once or twice before diving for 15-20 minutes. We only saw it a few times so this tour was complimentary and everyone got a ticket to return.

The beautiful weather continued so we head out into the bay and soon enough found the humpback whale from this morning. It was surfacing more often and we got a beautiful view of the tail. However, it started diving for longer so we went to check out another humpback whale! We got to see this other one a view times and then the two humpback whales were feeding nearby each other. A few grey and harbour seals could be seen around the boat too. We then headed back with a beautiful sunset behind us.
