The sea was so perfectly calm today, like a mirror! There were no waves or wind! It made spotting very easy but it was also so beautiful!
Our morning tour had a little bit of rain but that didn’t stop the excitement. We headed to Hafnarfjodur and found one humpback whale right in the harbour! As we were watching, it lunge fed!! It was so cool to see. It carried on swimming nearby but we had to head home. We came across a lot of harbour porpoises just near the lighthouse! There were so many of them and they were porpoising through the water.
The rain cleared up for the afternoon. We saw lots of harbour porpoises as we headed out and when we got to Hafnarfjodur, we saw that there were two humpback whales this time! They were swimming side by side but also doing a lot of logging behaviour.
