Daily diary – January 15 2025

With the cloudy overcast and strong winds, we set out in the beautiful bay! The sea was a beautiful turquoise colour! We could see lots of seals around the islands, and just in front of us, we saw a blow! It was a humpback whale! The same one that we saw from the end of November! It has been a while since we saw it last, must have been hiding behind one of the islands. We stayed with it for a while, watching it surface, occasionally coming up right next to the boat! We saw that another humpback whale was behind us, and it turned out to be the active feeder from the previous week! They soon came closer together and just in time for us to head back home!
