Daily diary – January 16 2025

Although it was meant to be a calmer day than yesterday, we were hit with some small waves and quite a bit of wind when we got out into the harbour. These waves made quite a bit of fun for a pod of harbour porpoises, as we saw them jumping through them, right in front of the boat. After they disappeared, we saw a blow from a humpback whale! We stayed with this individual for the tour, watching it swim all over the place and trying to keep up with it! It swam right next to the boat a few times and there were also so many harbour and grey seals swimming nearby and watching us.
