Daily diary – January 3 2025

It was still very cloudy and windy today, like yesterday, but we were very excited to head out into the bay! We soon came across one of the humpbacks from yesterday’s tour, not even 30 minutes into leaving the harbour. We spotted the other one briefly but it wasn’t as active as the other one. As we watched the other humpback whale swim around quite a bit, we could see a lot of seals coming up around the boat! There were so many! We even saw a pod of 3 harbour porpoises as well! We then left the humpback whale to explore the bay some more. We came across more seals and another pod of harbour porpoises. In the distance, we could see another humpback whale, so we went to check it out before we had to go back to the harbour.
