Daily diary – July 20 2024

Today was an extraordinary day on the waters of Faxafloi Bay, filled with the awe-inspiring presence of humpack whales. Our morning tour set off under clear skies, and it wasn’t long before the first giant of the deep made an appearance. The majestic humpback, with its characteristic long pectoral fins and knobbly head, surfaced showing us its fluke, much to the delight of everyone on board.

Throught the day we encountered several humpacks, displaying unique and captivating behaviours, and sometimes sharing the same area with white beaked dolphins.
