Daily diary – July 4 2024

The weather is much better today and the sun is finally out!
A beautiful day with white-beaked dolphins jumping and swimming around the boat in the morning. We were lucky enough to spend some time with them.
The afternoon was surprising with a humpback whale very close to shore. The humpback whale seemed to be asleep as it was very calm and moved very slowly. We followed our path with a few minke whales and then took a tour around Videy island, where shearwaters make their nests.

The next few days promise to be sumptuous, with sunny weather – a true Icelandic summer!
