Daily diary – November 10 2024

The sea was nice and calm for a trip out to sea! Everyone was excited and soon the sun rose and gave us a beautiful sky. We headed out for a while before we saw anything and about an hour and half into the tour, we had really strong wind and rain! But this didn´t put a stop to our fun, because shortly after we saw a few blows and some splashes! There were 3 humpback whales and a pod of white-beaked dolphins near each other! We went to the dolphins first as they swam around the boat and then headed to the humpback whales! They were swimming really close to us and even went right under the bow and ended up spraying the passengers with their blow. As we headed back, the journey was smooth and right around the islands we saw a few harbour porpoises and a seal! We then spotted a minke whale outside the harbour and stayed with it for a few minutes before finally coming back to dock.

The afternoon tour, 13.15 pm, was unfortunately cancelled due to strong winds.
