Daily diary – November 9 2024

This morning´s tour, 09:15 am was cancelled due to bad weather.

The wind from this morning had settled, so we set out to sea. Everyone was enjoying their time, even though there was some movement to the boat at times. As we were sailing, a pod of white-beaked dolphins were suddenly jumping through the wake of the boat! Shortly after that surprise visit, they disappeared, but just in time, because we saw 3 blows in front of us! They were humpback whales! They were resting and going down for very short, shallow dives! But soon after, appeared right next to the boat! Right before we left, two of them showed us their fluke as they dove, and the whole boat cheered! Just as we thought there couldn´t be any more excitement, a fourth humpback whale, all on his own, came up in front of the boat! What a great way to end the tour.
