Whale Watching Daily Diary – April 23th 2026

Reykjavik Iceland, whale watching Tour photo; White-beaked dolphin fins swimming through the ocean

The bay treated us to a lively and rewarding tour today. With only a gentle swell rolling beneath us, conditions were comfortable and made for an enjoyable time out on the water.

Wildlife appeared almost instantly—within just five minutes of leaving the harbour, our first minke whale surfaced, and from that moment on, the sightings kept coming. We encountered numerous minke whales throughout the trip, giving everyone plenty of opportunities to observe them up close.

To make things even better, dolphins joined us along the way, moving swiftly and playfully through the area, while harbour porpoises added their subtle presence with quick glimpses at the surface.

A really satisfying day at sea.
