Whale Watching Daily Diary – April 7th 2026

Whale watching tour at 9:15 is cancelled due to bad weather conditions.

The weather got better in the afternoon, so we decided to give it a try, and we went out to look for marine mammals!

We sailed for a long time, exploring every nook and cranny of Faxafloi. At one point, the smallest of whales came into view – some rather elusive harbour porpoises surfaced not far from our boat. As porpoises are wont to do, they vanished as quickly as they had appeared.

For this reason, we offered our passengers a complimentary ticket allowing them to return to the ship within three years, so that they might actually get a good look at the whales another time!
