Whale Watching Daily Diary – 22nd June 2026

Reykjavik Iceland, whale watching Tour photo; Three white-beaked dolphins surfacing together in the sea - seen whilst whale watching from Reykjavik Iceland

Morning Tour

We headed out this morning in beautifully calm conditions, with gentle seas and great visibility across the bay. Early in the tour, we encountered three humpback whales, each travelling independently and giving us wonderful views as they surfaced throughout the area. We also spotted a minke whale, which appeared several times around the boat, allowing everyone to appreciate this fast and elusive species. To complete the experience, a group of white-beaked dolphins made an appearance, bringing plenty of energy and excitement to the trip. With calm waters and a variety of cetaceans to enjoy, it was a fantastic start to the day.

Afternoon Tour

The excellent conditions continued into the afternoon, with smooth seas making wildlife spotting a pleasure. We were lucky enough to encounter two humpback whales during the tour, both providing lovely sightings as they travelled through the bay. A minke whale was also seen, surfacing regularly and giving guests great looks at one of our most commonly sighted species. White-beaked dolphins returned once again, entertaining everyone with their playful behaviour and swift movements through the calm water. Combined with the beautiful weather and relaxed sea state, it was another enjoyable and successful whale-watching adventure.
