Whale Watching Daily Diary – April 27th 2026

Reykjavik Iceland, whale watching Tour photo; White-beaked dolphin fins swimming through the ocean

We had to wait a bit longer than usual before getting our first sightings today, but after some time, we finally encountered a few humpback whales. They were not particularly active, yet they surfaced often enough near the boat to give us some lovely views. We also managed to spot a minke whale, although it appeared only briefly before disappearing again.

The weather remained overcast throughout the trip, but the sea was calm, making for comfortable sailing conditions. Despite the slower start, it turned into a pleasant outing with some rewarding encounters.
