Whale Watching Daily Diary – April 29th 2026
It feels as if spring has left us for a few days now, as the weather was still unfavourable today and the sea was rather rough, reducing visibility and making it harder to spot the whales. For this reason, we were unable to head far out to sea in search of humpback whales and instead we chose to focus on trying to spot the three minke whales again, which have been hanging around the bay for days, not far from the harbour. However, the search was unsuccessful, despite having tried everything and searched far and wide, even going to the places where they were last seen. It was, however, a nice adventure to head out to sea and experience the power of Icelandic nature.
